[Linux]Tiny popup not triggered [GNOME,KDE]

I’m glad to see a daily improvement for linux adaptation.

But I would like to mention a bit about Persona and Matinee.

They provide small popup to set a name for AnimNotify in Persona, or CameraGroup, etc in Matinee.

Those popup can only be appeared in Unity. In ordinary GNOME, or KDE, nothing happens.

In other words,Ubuntu’s Unity or like an Unity+ArchLinux has no problem. but in other window environment, like Kubuntu couldn’t popup.

Yes I know the recommendation is using Ubuntu, but this fix must contributes many linux users.

Hi fanatic

i tested on Xfce and KDE Plasma and I do not have the same issue as you describe. See here pictures on KDE Plasma.

My system

  • Ubuntu 14.04.02 LTS 64-bit
  • Nvidia 750Ti 2GB, Driver: 349.16
  • 16GB Ram

Thank you for a reply.And sorry if there might be lack of my words.

About end of first quarter in this page, there is description about custom notify.

What I can’t see is 2nd tiny popup to entry notify name.
I’m afraid to trouble you, but please once more regarding this matter.

Yeah i can confirm this issue. I have the same. It doesn’t work on xfce either. Only on unity.

Hi there

I think I know the issue and will be fixed. But for now here temporary workaround check this.. See if that works for you.

Until now, to exclude a part as you mentioned makes no side effect, no inconvenience.
At least in my environment ( Gentoo, KDE4 ), it’s just working, become able to assign a notify properly.

Those issues are fixed and got upstream into the master branch. That means it will work on the next release of UE4 which should be 4.9.
