Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Can I use your example as a baseline for my tutorial.

Good Day,

I am in the process of preparing a Tutorial for Network programming in UE4 C++ and was wondering if it would be acceptable by you (EPIC) if I used your Introduction to Blueprint Networking example, recreating it using code?

I feel it would be easier for people, especially newcomers, to first watch those videos to get an understanding of how network programming works before diving into the C++ section. Having something to compare it with directly will also help them understand where and why anything goes wrong, should anything go wrong with their own code while following me.

Hi iRperson,

As long as the use is purely in a referential sense and you do not attempt to monetize any content included, you're free to use these videos for your tutorials. If you do make the tutorial, please feel free to post it on the forums or on the UE4 wiki so it gets more exposure.

Have a nice day,

Matthew Clark

This is great. There is a lot of information on this, but it is scattered across the far reaches of the internet, too far for many young adventurers to seek! Hopefully I will be able to shed some light on the topic.

Thank-you Matthew! You too should have a great day.
