Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Metal black falloff change direction

Hi all, I'm working on a material for an interior wall. This wall must have some kind of metal look. I copied some bits of the blueprint from the standard metal material, and on one side it looks good: http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m104/mrr_03/mrr_03149/Metal1.jpg However, on the other side it shows almost completely black: http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m104/mrr_03/mrr_03149/Metal2.jpg

I changed the metallic value from 1 to 0.9. This made it a little brighter but still doesn't solve the odd falloff on the model. Does anyone have any idea on how to direct this black falloff downwards? Any other ideas are also very welcome.

Product Version: UE 4.7

1 answer: sort voted first

I found the answer myself in the meantime. Apparently my scene was missing a reflection sphere. After adding this, the black shade disappeared.
