"ù" key can't be mapped to ConsoleKeys

Hi,

The “ù” key can’t be mapped to ConsoleKeys whereas it can be set to regular game mappings (ActionMappings).

Question about also:
There are no KeyName Mapping for the ù and ² keys.

FYI I’m on a FR azerty Keyboard.

Thanks,

Hi ,

I was able to reproduce this and have entered a bug report, UE-15894 to be assessed by the development staff.

ok great.

What about the KeyName? Is it also included in the report?

thanks,

Hi ,

I included the specific characters ù, £, §, ^, _, ', and ². None of these seem to be recognized by the editor.

Hi,
any updates on this?
Has this been fixed in 4.8?

thanks,

It looks like this has currently been backlogged as our resources are dedicated elsewhere. I don’t have a timeframe of when a fix will be available.

Thanks for the update. I hope this will get some attention for 4.8. It’s just a mandatory things to be able to map all Keyboard key in such tool.

Hi,
Could you please give me an update on this report?

thanks,

Hi ,

Unfortunately there has been no change to the status of this particular report.

Hi,

could you please give me a status on this?

thanks,

Hi ,

This issue is still open at the moment and I unfortunately do not have a time frame of when it will be addressed. While there has been some recent activity, this most likely will not be addressed in the near future as our resources are currently dedicated elsewhere.

Hi ,

maybe I’m wrong, sorry in that case, and the issue that we had was not exactly the same that you have but I was trying to add as ConsoleKeys the º character and I had problems. We are using 4.8 version. After some investigation and tests, I decided to change manually the DefaultInput.ini using Notepad++, instead of using the Editor, and I added this character as ALT+167. Then I saved the file in UTF-8 BOM enconding. Since this moment, all was fine for us and all the team was able to use it properly.

Hope this helps.
Cheers,

Hi,
I’m a bit suprised that someone take time to do in 4.10:
“New: Allow binding of the Section (§) key.”
And didn’t include the other Key that are mentionned since May (6 months)…
Could you please raise the interest of this issue again so it is adressed?

I checked in the source code and part of them seems to be declared, but could you make sure that the full list is covered and bindable in the editor?

Thanks,
