ACharacter - Mesh->AttachParent by Hips instead of Root

I just buy T-Pose Zombie Bundle from Marketplace. But the problem is character has a lurching motion. I need to attach CapsuleComponent to Mesh:Hips. But how can I do this with ACharacter?

I’m not sure to change RootComponent of ACharacter and re-attach everyting. But it is prefered way?

I just want to CapsuleComponent follow Mesh:HipsBone instead of Mesh:RootBone

This is because the character has a lurching motion, while the root moves at a steady pace in all 8 directions. 50 centimeters per cycle in each direction at a linear trajectory so that blending is as little a seem as possible. What it sounds like is the root motion is moving at a ramped trajectory. The body does offset from the root while in takes it’s lurching steps, I would recommend making the capsule follow the hips instead of the root for more accurate targeting in game.
