Any Plans for Game Stats: Heatmap Visualizer?

UDK has it and is a very helpful level design tool.

Any plans to put this into UE4?

I will be very interested in getting Epic feedback on this.
It was a great tool in UDK, will it be port to UE4? is it already there ?

thanks,

Unfortunately at the moment there is nothing on the schedule to implement / revive this feature from UE3. I’ll see about getting it added to our roadmap so that the community has a chance to add feedback on it.

Hi,

Thanks for the answer. What was the criteria to not implement this existing feature in UE4?
Are you using other tools in Epic side? What’s your workflow to test your map and get statistics?

thanks,

We’re working on figuring that out right now. There is an IAnalyticsProvider interface that is already implemented, but I believe we are still working on figuring out how to handle massive amounts of data and show it appropriately. The tools right now are outside the editor and third party I believe. I’ll add someone to this thread that can better speak to our external plans.

hi, it’s been a year since Derek and Elvince asked about heatmap and now I’ll ask the same. Do you have any progress in heatmap visualization feature in UE4? it is a great tool!

thanks

It would be awesome to know if there has been any new developments on this.

As the writer of the UE3 solution I’m sorry to say that this is probably not going to be something we provide in any near to mid term time frame. We have no plans for it in our roadmaps.

Our internal projects are built for scale using off the shelf enterprise solutions. We have not brought any “in editor” stats analysis into UE4.

Is there any way to get the previous version sources? I mean I did a small solution on my end, but I really want to look what your did to learn how you contruct the heatmap, how you managed the data etc…
thanks,

UE3 in-editor GameStats and Heatmap is very cool and usefull for level designers.
I hope UE4 can have this old feature too even in plugins is ok! thanks
