I have customized an UMG by adding an image to it , and i get the image in level blueprint , everythin is fine. But everytime i restart the editor, the image in level blueprint is marked as error until i compile the UMG again. My engine version is 4.8.0 preview 2. It’s OK in 4.7.0.
Hello,
I have a few questions for you that will help narrow down what issue it is that you are experiencing.
Quick questions:
- Does this still occur in the 4.8 preview 3?
- Can you reproduce this in a clean project?
- If so, could you provide a detailed list of steps to reproduce this issue on our end?
- Was this project upgraded to 4.8 from an older version of the engine?
- Could you provide screen shots of any blueprints that are involved with this issue?
- Could you provide the error that you are receiving?
- I haven’t got a preview 3 yet.
- Yes, it can be reproduce in a new project.
- Detail list below
- It’s a clean version download from GitHub.
- See attached Image
- See attached Image
- Step 1: Create a New Widget BluePrint, named TestUMG
- Step 2: Drag a Image to the viewport, named TestImage
- Step 3 : Call CreateWidget Function in Level BluePrint, specify the class to TestUMG
- Step 4: Call Get TestImage, get nothing wrong.
- Step 5: Save & Restart, TestImage In Level BluePrint marked as error.
Hello,
After taking a look at the screen shot provided I was able to do some digging and I found that this issue (UE-15155) has already been reported and that it has been fixed internally. This solution will be available in a later release of the engine. Thank you for your time and information.
Make it a great day
