Marketplace Income Tax Filing
I'm curious, how are we supposed to file taxes on money obtained through the marketplace? Are we going to receive a 1099 form or something? I'm assuming money earned through the UE4 marketplace would be considered self employed? Any insight into this would be appreciated. I'm somewhat confused on this at the moment.

A 1099 may be issued based on certain thresholds. Even if one is not received, money you receive during the year from Epic for marketplace sales would be considered income to you. It would be up to you and your accountant to determine the ultimate impact of this on your taxes.

As part of the standard onboarding process, if you are based in the US, you would need to provide tax id information and a signed W9 (along with other information) prior to selling anything on the marketplace.
