What Caused This Texture Artifacting?


When I made m test level I made a simple material using the texture T_Ceramic_Tile_M, and I have this issue. Is there any fix other than create a new texture that is completely tillable?

Solution: Creating new texture in photoshop with 2K resolution, with straight noisless lines.

Could you post a screenshot of your material setup? By “Artifacting” are you referring to the gaps in the grid? I am looking into that texture and it looks like it does have some “noise” around the alpha edges that could cause it to be rendered with gaps.

That texture doesn’t have perfectly clean and straight gaps, that combined with mip mapping is what is causing the issue i guess. You can create a similar texture from scratch in Gimp or Photoshop very easily.


I had to move everything a bit close to keep everything in one screenshot.
