Using the 4.8 skeleton for blender animations?

Hi, all. Previously I have been using the [4.6 blender rig][1] provided for a [support stream][2].

I wanted to start using 4.8 and swapping out the grey guy for my own character. So I export out the skeletal mesh from the third-person template and import it into blender with [these settings][3], I then created a root bone the same as the one in the old rig and parented all the other bones to it and exported it out an animation (to test the skeleton works right) with [these settings][4].

The animation is supposed to look like this:

But imported it looks like this:

I get an error message on import: “Warning Imported bone transform is different from original. Please check Output Log to see detail of error.” I have tried change the export settings and it doesn’t change anything.

I suspect this has something to do with the root bone I added. Here’s the [blender file][7], I’m using 2.73.

Any ideas?
