Moving objects not showing

I tried to make a trap that should come up from undergroud when someone enter a trigger box. In the viewport everything seams ok but when i start playing the trap doesnt show at all… I can feel their collisions moving exactly as they should (so everything seams to be ok with the movement… but the sprite doesnt appear).

Hey ,

I have set up the same type of blueprint that you have and I have been able to get mine to work. Would you please provide me some additional information regarding your blueprint and what you’re using. I noticed that you have the z axis sent to your timeline, could you give me more information regarding your timeline? Also, are you using 4.7.6? I’m currently using 4.8.0 Preview 4.

Looking forward to hearing from you, thanks!

I am using 4.7.6. The timeline only affect z axis movement becouse the trap should move only on that axis, this is my timeline:

And this is the viewport of the trap blueprint:

Anyway there is a way to let a matinee start by overlapping a trigger box?

Hey ,

Thank you very much for providing me with the screenshots. I have set up a similar project and recreated it based on all of your images. I noticed that the blueprint wasn’t working correctly when I added only the z axis to the timeline however, I noticed that it seemed to function correctly once I added the x and z axis to the timeline node. Have you tried this previously?

Looking forward to hearing back from you, thanks!!

Tryed to create float values in the time line even for the X axis but nothing appear anyway…

Hey ,

If you don’t connect the axis to the timeline, but you set the axis to where they should appear, do they show up for you within the project once you’re playing in the editor? Also, I actually hooked all of mine up to the same 3 timeline nodes, so two in each node (x & z).

If you’re not able to get the trigger to work correctly once you’ve set the location for them, would you mind zipping the project and submitting it to me in a private message on the forums?

Looking forward to hearing from you, thanks!

Thank you for the help i noticed that if the triggerbox was hidden in game everything else got that proprety… i create a brand new blueprint starting from a sprite instead of starting by a triggerbox and everything now is ok! Thanks again for the help!

Can you put an eye even on this problem i had?

Still no one could answer me…

Hey ,

I’m glad you figured out what was causing your project trigger box not to respond properly. I’ve looked over your other question and I see that it’s in good hands. You should have a response by the end of day today, if not early morning tomorrow.

I hope you have a wonderful day.
