How to transfer my Unreal level to a different computer?

I’m still getting used to all the different changes for Unreal 4 from 3 and I wanted to know how would I go from one computer to another with my level since the package system is gone?

The very best way is to use version control. Then you just check your project out on a new computer. Otherwise, just copy the whole project over. If it’s content only just get all the directories with your assets and put them in a new project of the same type.

Here’s a link to a blog on setting up Perforce with Digital ocean:

There are also free services if you don’t mind the project being .

Thanks for the reply. Just to be specific on what you’re saying though, all you have to do is go into project folder > content > yourproject for me it was FirstPersonBP. Copy that folder (FirstPersonBP) into the content folder of the other pc and you are good to go.

If the project is the same version. You can just copy the whole project over.

Thanks for helping me out, I was able to do it.

Glad it helped. Please mark my answer as accepted.

Doesn’t work! As usual  nothing on UE4 works. And no one has a simple answer. I transferred entire project onto new PC, opened it in launcher, Unreal opened with the name of my project…BUT GUESS WHAT!!! No level  no level I have been slaving over. Nothing. Won’t even recognize any of the files I transferred over that have a .umap at the end of it. I love this  I just love it

“use version control” OH MAN THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU MADE ZERO SENSE! I appreciate your assumptions. As if i would know wtf that is. thanks for nothing.

IT IS NOT ACCEPTED
