Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

how can i add 2 materials to 1 static mesh in UE4?

hi, i know it is possible to assign multiple materials in the modelling softwares used, (in my case maya 2015), but i was wondering if there was a simpler way to do it in UE4, maybe by using the elements under materials in the details panel.

ive been trying to figure it out and i think the only way to do it is to import a single mesh with more than one material assigned to it.

Try setting up 2 materials in the editor and then vertex painting them in. Though obj and not fbx is said to work in 3d modelling sofyware, and should be more accurate and simple.
