Why is Exporting Lighting Data stuck at 0%?

I’m trying to build the map but the progress is stuck on “Exporting Lighting Data: 0%”. I’ve tried restarting to no avail. I’m not sure what could be causing this. Any help would be appreciated!

Do you have a lightmass importance volume around your level? If not it could simply be trying to pull in too much data at once and is slowing down significantly due to this. How long are you typically waiting on the lighting before you restart? Also if you could post your dxdiag it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I do have a lightmass importance volume. I shrunk it down a bit before trying again, and I decided to leave it while I watched some TV. I came back just over an hour later and it had actually started to build… so it turns out it just took a very long time to export the data. I haven’t tried again since, but I’m wondering if it might be because I made a bunch of copies of my level to increase its size before deleting them again (modular building pieces, windows, gutters etc). Thanks for your reply, were you meant to say something else at the end of your post there?

Yes creating many objects then subsequently deleting them will cause the lighting to take longer to rebuild. I appreciate you letting me know my sentence got cut off, I finished it out so the comment was more clear. Thank you and have a great day!
