Way to prevent the following error: "Error Failed import for CurveFloat"

Do not create string variable in Blueprint Editor which is named: “#1:”, “#2:”, “#3:”, “#1”, “#2”, “#3”, “#…”, etc.
Otherwise when start your project the following error will occur:
“LoadErrors:Error: Error Failed import for CurveFloat” …(name of your blueprint file)

Hey Angel,

Are you saying that you’re receiving an error when you open your project after you’ve created a curvefloat in a blueprint and saved it? Have you tested this in 4.8 Preview 4? Also could you please provide me some additional information on how you’re setting it up, or if it’s simply due to the name?

I appreciate your assistance and look forward to hearing back from you.

Hi, I think the symbol “#” in the name of string variable is the problem. I use UE 4.7.1. I receive this error always when open my project after I’ve created this type of variable in blueprint.

Hey Angel,

I have not been able to reproduce this in our newer releases of the engine, so it seems that this issue has since been fixed. If possible, I would suggest upgrading at least to 4.7.6 since there have been 5 additional ‘hot-fixes’ since 4.7.1, which is the version that you’re on.

Thank you so much and have a wonderful weekend.
