Skeletal Mesh Import Missing Character Parts

Hello,

I created a mesh in 3ds max with multiple objects. (legs, feet, eyes, body)
I also added bones to each of the body parts and everything works correctly.

But somehow if I import it as a skeletal mesh (fbx 2014) to UE4, it only shows the body and all other parts are missing.
Each body part has a skin modifier and each bone has some vertices weight.
If i import it as a static mesh, there is no problem.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
It seems like I just cant get it right. I played around with the import options but nothing works.

I’m having the same problem. In the FBX Skeletal Mesh Pipeline doc it says “Currently, only a single animation for each Skeletal Mesh can be imported in a single file. Multiple morph targets can be transferred for a Skeletal Mesh in one file, though” I have the rifle, bolt, operator and magazine all animated. Would that be causing the issue?

Group your meshes and then export!
