when I try to put one material into another element to engine closes

Does this occur in a blank project with no additional content or is it limited to one project? Additionally, is it limited to this asset or does this occur with other assets as well? Do you get a crash report callstack?

negative, also tested in a blank project and yet still falls, I tested it in version 4.7 and is working perfectly

Can I get your crashlog callstack? Additionally have you tried this in the 4.8.0 release?

Thank you for the information! I did some digging and found that this is a known issue, it has been reported as UE-15663 and has already been addressed. Look for this fix in a future build.
