Can the FumeFX Vector Field from 3Ds Max be imported?
Hi, I'm trying to find a way to import the vector field done with FumeFX inside 3dsmax. I can't seem to find any tutorial or explanation for it. I saw some post here with some links that are not accessible.
Any direction would be welcome.
Right now Epic only supports creating vector fields using Maya's Fluid sims.
I have seen discussion in the forums regarding creating a plugin for Max/FumeFX, this is not supported yet.

In one of the Epic's YT videos (Inside Unreal - Visual Effects - Part 3) they show making of a "volume texture" from FumeFX fluid simulation for an explosion effect: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_-LrvzhBhM Although it's not a tutorial, maybe you can get some clues from there...
Alternatively someone on the Forums also made a MaxScript that makes the Vector Fields out of splines: https://forums.unrealengine.com/showthread.php?2274-ToolTutorial-Vector-Fields-from-splines-in-3ds-Max
