Layered Animblend is "Bending" an animation from another layer

But essentially I’m doing the tutorial at this site:

On slot nodes and Branch points, only w/ a custom mesh.

When my character punches without the blend, the punches are centered.
When she punches with the blend, she punches to the sides.

I’m not sure if i did something wrong or what, but if you have an idea of where to start to try to fix it, please let me know!
