Line trace doesnt hit Actor on Mac

I wrote a Blueprint on my Windows PC where a switch highlights when i look at it and then lets me trigger a light.

when i opened the same project on my macbook, neither the highlighting nor the lightswitch function worked.
When i set the debug of the line trace to persistent and printet out the actor that has been hit, the line trace went right trough the lightswitch. On Windows it hit properly.

Did i miss something?
UE version is 4.7 on both systems.
