As foliage painted models do not emit light

I used the foliage tool to “paint” several static meshes onto the terrain.
The thing is, they should emight light for statig lightning, but they are not. At the moment, they just glow but not light up their surrounding.

I enabled “Use Emissive for Static Lightning” and recalculated the light - bot nothing happened.
Is it because I am not rendering the scene as production lightning quality? It’s still on preview due to the large size

Unfortunately, “use emissive for static lighting” is not enabled for assets that are placed with the foliage tool. You can only enable this option for static lighting for individually placed assets in the scene.

The alternative is to use dynamic lighting with LPV or Distance Field GI (still experimental) enabled to use emissive bounce light.

Hmm - this does not seem to work with LPV.
An emissive cube placed in the scene injects into LPV. Same cube as foliage does not. LPV is great anyways though!
