[4.7.6] Cut & paste event node corrupts editor state

Hi there,

  • I created a custom event ‘show’
  • Selected and cut it (STRG+X)
  • When pasting it, it got renamed to ‘show_Copy’
  • All call to this event now are broken:


That’s not all: The editor prevents me from renaming it again to the original name (there is definitily not other node with this name in the Blueprint as you can see from the compiler error). Saving/closing/reopening the blueprint doesn’t change anything.

This happens even in a fresh, new and completely empty actor blueprint which has absolutely no content than this single event node after a cut & paste:


I can only fix this by restarting the whole editor.

This issue is not currently happening in 4.8.0 Preview 4. Would you mind verifying that? On my end though, it looks as if this issue has since been resolved.

BTW: Any news on a public bugtracker. It’s really hard to check the status of bugs. There are some UE-XXXXX numbers floating around, but there is no place to look them up…

Sadly, I do not have any more information regarding the public facing bug tracker and whether or not it’ll be implemented. I would suggest continuing to review our update/release notes.
