Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

"Imported bone transform is different from original"

First of all, I dunno if this belongs here, but there's no specific section for importing or animation/modeling.

I am trying to import an animation. The animation/rigging was made using Maya tool called Advanced Skeleton 4. The skeleton as well as the mesh have been imported without problems. Upon importing the animation I receive a "Imported bone transform is different from original. Please check Output Log to see detail of error". Inspecting in persona shows the animation stuck in the frame it was in when it was exported. It is also rotated 90 degrees. Please help me, my leg is tired

Thank you in advance

(I am more a programmer than an artist, still learning these tools)

1 answer: sort voted first

Alright update: There are two problems here. Because Advanced Skeleton 4 only works in a Y-Up configuration, I had to rotate the entire scene 90 degrees so the person would be standing up. Undo-ing this got rid of the error message I was receiving. I suppose I can import the skeleton and then rotate 90 degrees in editor instead. However I still have the problem with only getting one frame of the animation.

So people who might have this "Imported bone transform is different from original. Please check Output Log to see detail of error", make sure your root is zeroed out (I guess).

I'm going to mark this as a solution, and ask another question that pertains only to my other problem.
