Need Help With Lighting

I made a low poly terrain in UE4 and started coloring it and I’m getting nasty shadows. Any idea on how to fix them?

Rebuilding the lighting by pressing the Build button next to Play In Editor did not solve this?

Hi TrinexGames,

Try increasing your Lightmap Resolution for your landscape by selecting your landscape and in the details panel adjust the Static Lighting Resolution. Try using a larger value between 2-4 and see if you get the results you like. If this does not look right for you try incrementally upping the value by 1 to see if this gives better results.

Depending on the size of the landscape the resolution will need to be higher. Also, if you’re building a large world, it’s not always ideal to use static lighting, especially if you will use a lot of objects in your scene. Make sure that you include a Lightmass Importance Volume around your landscapes playable area as well.

Thank you!

Thank You, Increasing the Static Lighting Resolution in the details panel helped.
