No Reverb from audio in My Character Blueprint?

Hi guys,

I have audio that I’m trying to get to reverb around my level, using the latest 4.8 Preview.
If I place it in the world it works fine, but if its in the ‘My Character’ Blueprint it won’t effect it at all?

I suspect that the Audio Volume doesn’t know that my Character is in it.
Is this a bug or do I need to do something else? I am completely stumped and I’ve done everything else can think of.

Thanks, NJ Apostol

Hey NJ,

Could you please explain your audio question further, or show screenshots of the blueprint that you’re working with so I can dig deeper into the issue you’re running in to? Also, have you looked over the reverb [audio content example][1]? If not, it’s in the map called ‘audio’.

Looking forward to hearing from you, thanks!

Hi,

I’ve actually solved this one myself.
It was very obscure and I found it almost by mistake.

Because I am working across multiple audio levels and the sound I was using was based in a Blueprint, it confused me.

I had to change my level streaming method from 'Blueprint to ‘always loaded’
Go figure, lol

Seems like a school boy thing to do once you know but thought I’d post back in case anyone else comes up against it.

Thanks NJ

Glad to hear you were able to resolve this on your own, let us know if you have any further questions!

Have a great day!
