Geometry - Alignment - Align Surface: Has no effect

Hello,

I just try the tutorial “4 - Applying material to Geometry” and have a problem. The “Align Surface Planar” function has no effect. And in the work history is no entry to step back.

In the comments to the video, I have a similar entry found.

Is this a bug or have to do other steps in version 4.8?

Hoping for a quick response.

Looks like bug in 4.8. In 4.7.6 all works fine.

Thanks for info. Please fix the bug.

Can the version 4.7.6 download yet? About the Launcher can not.

Edit:
I have found “+ Add Versions” in the Launcher.

I’m also experiencing this problem in 4.8.3. Hope its fixed soon, kinda worried about not being able to align textures.
