Instant Freeze/Crash on PIE after migrating to 4.8

Hi,

I upgraded our project to Unreal 4.8. The conversion went fine without issues. I then could load up the new project and move around the levels in the editor. I can also successfully package a build.

But as soon as I hit play (PIE) the whole editor just freezes for about 30 seconds and then eventually crashes. The whole issues is with UE 4.8 from Launcher and with self compiled from code.
When I debug after the Crash, it says the following message in Visual Studio:

Hi Hermi1988,

Firstly, to make sure this isn’t a problem with the conversion from one version to the next, try this:

In the Engine folder, delete the DDC (Derived Data Cache).
In your project, delete the Intermediate, the Saved, and the Binary folders.

When you next try to package it will take considerably longer as the shaders will need to newly compile, but this should get rid of any old or corrupted files that haven’t gotten deleted.

If you’re still getting the PIE crash, please post your crash logs here as a txt file.
