4.8 Projects not showing

This has probably already been noted, but when i create a new project, they don’t appear in the ‘My Projects’ space. If i Upgrade a current project, they do appear though. If this is a bug, i have no idea how to replicate it.

Yeah, any of my old projects that I changed version on, dont show up. Did you try delteting the intermediate folder?

Edit. oh sorry your saying new projects. Is your launcher set to launch 4.8 or 4.7.6 by default in the top left?

my launcher is set to 4.8

Hi DrakeWalker,

Once you create a project, try navigating to that projects .uproject file and opening it. That should force the Launcher to see the correct files. Let me know if that doesn’t work for you.

Cheers,

TJ

That did not work :frowning:

We are now tracking several reports of this and it seems that if a project is stored on a drive that is not the same as the Launcher, then it isn’t showing in the Launchers content section.

Is this also how you are storing your content?

We are investigating the issue and will post back here with updates as we have them.

My project is stored on my desktop, and the default location is in my documents. Both are on the same drive though.

I had a project that wouldnt show up (different drive) then one day, it just did.

I have run into this problem as well. I created a new project for 4.8, and it is not showing in the launcher. The launcher and projects are stored on different physical drives.

I wrote up a potential work-around on another thread for a similar problem here:-

If you’re having issues still, could you see if that helps at all?

Thank you!

Thanks, this worked!~

For me this lead to the answer - It was actually this causing my issue:

Yes that is correct, thank you. You must add each folder that contains project folders created by the editor. We do not do a full recursive search, just 1 level deep as you say, which is the usual behaviour. Your second suggestion here is the ‘correct’ way, it is what the Launcher itself will do.

Thanks for the help!
