[4.7.6] Imprecision in FBX animation import (e.g. should be rotate X 180, but engine imports as 179.96)

I’m doing some first person camera animations where things need to match seamlessly to rotations. And with most imports they do.

For some reason I have this one animation that will not export at a perfect rotateZ of 180 degrees. It imports as 179.9604…

When I bring it back into Maya it reports it as 180. I’ve tried lossless compression but no luck.

What you are experiencing is a float point precision error which is not something which can be readily fixed, but should also not be a perceivable error without the use of a precision measurement, like the detailed information.
