Large light source and shadow smoothness

How can I increase the number of ray cast from light source or some other kinds of sorcery and create smoother shadow angle? I’m aware about lightmass resolution in ground plane. My concern is about the shadow due to light source angle or large light source. I want smoother penumbra.

I have uploaded a second image for clarification.

Also, right now I’m only concerned with static light.

Yes, I did.

Apparently, changing the Light Build Quality to Production fixed the problem. Thanks for your effort.
