Does Animation Retargeting Support Root Motion?

I’ve been trying to retarget animations with root motion (from Rifle Animset Pro) onto the new mannequin in 4.8. The animations on the skeleton are working fine however the movement of the root bone is not being scaled to account for the different proportions of the characters. This results in the feet sliding.

I’ve tried every option and setting I can find!

Is this a limitation or a bug?

Edit: Skeleton hierarchy is set to “Skeleton”, Pelvis and Root bones are set to “Animation Scaled”

When you select retarget animation, there’s an option called “Convert Spaces to new Skeleton” (middle of the 3 checkboxes). As far as i could tell, it causes the rootmotion to be transfered to the new skeleton, but since im no expert, im not 100% sure. But try it out.
