How to install Unreal Engine with Launcher to custom directory?

I have small system SSD and want to install Unreal Engine editor to another disk, but I can’t.

At the same time, in my case, the stock is rarely needed Editor (I use the assembly editor from the source) and I wont to keep stock edtior on SSD.

Hi Bonzaro,

The binary version of the engine will always install to the same drive that the Launcher was installed on. This is how the binary version works.

However, you could install the Launcher to your standard drive, then download the Source version to your SSD and compile it. This way you get a version of the engine on your SSD but the Launcher, Vault, and other Binary versions will be on your standard drive.

Let me know if that works for you.

Cheers,

TJ

Had the same problem.

My previous Epic Games launcher installer is 2.0.1-2467307
but it can’t launch. Window pop-up said try to download the latest version.

So I download the latest version (2.3.2-2612545)

After change the directory of the installation and click install, the other window pop-up come out and said
‘‘The highlighted volumes do not have enough disk space available for the currently selected features. You can remove some files from highlighted volumes, install fewer features, or select a different destination drive.’’

But I can’t even chose the other volume. And when I pressed OK, it come back to the first installation window.
