4.8 Gear VR startup shows blurry bars of color

Unreal Engine 4.8 game developed on OS X Yosemite and then packaged in development mode for Gear VR, the Note 4 version:

When it first starts I get three offset blurry vertical bars of colors, clearly not rendering in VR because there are no split stereoscopic images. After removing it from my face and putting it back on a few times–the exact number of times is random–it suddenly runs the game properly in stereoscopic VR.

It doesn’t crash and it’s not exactly a show stopper, but obviously I cannot ship this if the problem still exists.

Is anyone else seeing this?

Actually, the only workaround is to put a finger on the Gear VR sensor for 2 second, remove the finger, wait 20 seconds, and then wear the Gear VR for testing.

Yep, that works but hopefully this will still get fixed. Would you please provide the link to the Oculus forum posting? Thanks.

You know how to report this to UE devs, so they can schedule a fix?
