Undeletable object appearing on map and in actor overviews

I have strange bug in my project. There is one animated door actor floating on map and cant delete it. The same door also appear in many actor overview pics on background even its not added in those actors (good thing its not appearing when placing the actors with bugged pic). Issue started at some point in UE4.7 (worked only 1,5 months with the editor).

When clicking the strange appearing door on map, always one another object actor gets activated, but its not from it (have even deleted that to see).

Hey SaOk,

Have you deleted the asset from your folder completely? Did you check in your project folder through the Windows Explorer to make sure that the asset isn’t there in any of the folders? If the file is deleted, have you tried right-clicking in the content browser and using the ‘fix up redirectors’ button?

If this does not work, could you please provide some more information, perhaps a screenshot of the door too?

Using the door static mesh (or the actor, with the seen tigger boxes) in other actors so cant completely delete it. But here is picture. The door seen howering cant be deleted. When clicking it that actor behind the wall is selected. But if deleteing it, the door remains. Its not related to that actor behind the wall. In the actor overview pics you can see the door appearing for those three AIcharacters in content. The door isnt still there if getting in those actor’s viewport or if playing the actor. It just a ghost door :slight_smile:

No other problems, but the howering door looks bit bad.

Can you please zip those assets with the doors in them and provide them to me? I’d like to look at those closer and see if the same thing happens in my project as it does for yours.

I wanted to also let you know that we already have a bug reported for blueprint assets bleeding into other blueprint thumbnails. This issue is not fixed yet but can be referred to as: UE-17453 if you’d like to check up on it in the future.

Got the door finally deleted on map. Filtered world outliner and found the door there. It had some reference to another actor. Not sure if I messed it somehow myself, but its solved now. Some unrelated thumbnails still have the door, but will wait for that fix.
