Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Hey Horus-

When you try to access the Repository, what do you see? When you go to your profile, do you see the Epic Games logo under Organizations? If you don't see the logo, make sure that the name under your avatar on GitHub matches the name in the "GitHub Account Name" field of your Unreal Engine account profile.

Cheers

Doug Wilson

When I try to access https://github.com/EpicGames/UnrealEngine I simply get a 404, meaning, no permission. Regarding the Epic Games logo under the Organizations tab, I do not see it. As for the "GitHub Account Name" field, it matches my GitHub account, that is the problem.

Let me know how else I can help.

After linking your Unreal account and GitHub account you should receive an email at the address used for Github (if they use different emails). Following the instructions inside the email should let you access the Epic Games repository.

Its the same e-mail, I only receive the following content from Epic: "Hi XXX, You have successfully added github association to your Epic Games account. If you did not make this request, please contact us immediately. Thanks, Your friends at Epic"

Hey Horus-

When you are on the Epic Games page on Github (where it says signup) there is a button at the top that says "View Invitation." Clicking on the button and following the directions should allow you to access the Unreal Engine Repository.
