Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Where are the Axis event nodes in my Blank Project Blueprint?

If you create a new project based on Blank Project and create a new Blueprint from Character, you will notice there are no axis events or inputaxis nodes.

Here is the context menu inside a Character Blueprint from Blank Project:

Hey ryanjon,

The reason the blank template does not have axis mappings listed as nodes is that you have no axis mappings defined for that project. The FPS template has those axis mappings predefined for you, so they are accessible immediately in your Blueprints.

To set up your axis mappings in a blank project, go to Edit > Project Settings. Under Engine > Input, you should see Axis Mappings in the Bindings section. Create the axis mappings you want, click Set as Default, and then reopen your Character Blueprint. The axis mapping nodes will be available now!

Hope that helps!
