Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Is It Possible to Animate a Single Mesh in Matinee During Gametime?

Hi. I've been trying (With no luck) to animate a ship that moves around while the game is playing in my Unreal project. Is there any documentation or a short tutorial on how I could get a ship to move around using Matinee (Looped) or would it better to script out the movement in Blueprints? # Ryan

1 answer: sort voted first
  1. Create an empty group in Matinee.

  2. Select the ship and go to Matinee again.

  3. Right click on the group you just created. Actors > Add selected actors.

  4. Create a movement track and set the animation as you wish.

  5. Select the Matinee in the viewport. In Details panel enable Play On Level Load and Looping.

Let me know if it still doesnt work.

So simple, I completely forgot to add "Add selected actors" - You're a star.
