Can I use UE sample materials and marketplace content in renders in a separate 2D game?

Previously, I was using SketchUp and Bryce. I would often use filters or paint over to match the compositing required in the purely 2D application.

Now since using UE4 I’ve been amazed at the speed of environmental prototyping afforded by the built-in landscaping and architectural tools.

I was wondering if it would be okay to use UE as a base to assemble a 3D environment which I then can adjust for a separate 2D application (Gamemaker). I will try to avoid using recognizeable assets but will be using materials/textures that come with UE by default plus the marketplace content I have purchased.

The 2D game will be free by the way.

Yes, you can, however, you must still pay royalties…

Oh and the marketplace content depends on the licensing agreement you agreed to when you purchased/downloaded it.
