Fighter HUD

Hello everyone,

I am trying to create fighter heads up display, as seen in the F-16.
My problem ist, I don’t know how to get the “floating” effect, which makes it look like the HUD is not moving.

The HUD stays stationary when you move from side to side.

Do you have an idea on how to achieve such an effect?

the project function will allow you to keep a HUD texture stationary in world space, and if you use an offset from the jet as the location on the Project function, you can keep it stationary relative to the jet.

Ahh I see now. The HUD appears to be floating in infinity, do you think this effect will simulate such a thing?

yes, i would use project to achieve that affect.
