Char plays forward run anim for all directions

Title says it all. It doesn’t matter what I play around with in the anim event graph, it will just never work. Perhaps it is actually a blendspace issue and I will focus my attention there for a bit, but it doesn’t matter what I do, it hasn’t worked yet.

I would like the player to run on W, walk backwards on S, and strafe on A & D. The anims are there, they work, but it isn’t getting properly triggered.

I will post some pictures of my messes.
