Scale of assets bought on the marketplace

I purchased a weapon set on the marketplace, and the weapons are as tall as a character, I obviously need to scale them down, but its impossible to do this in the unreal editor.

Without the original FBX file how am I supposed to scale them correctly? I know I can export FBx but that doesn’t export the animations which are wrong.

On top of that I exported the skeletal mesh rescaled it and now I have missing influence errors when reimporting to unreal? Exporting animations from unreal is impossible.

If this can’t be fixed can I get my money back ?

Hey there slayeruk. So a way to set the scale of an asset is in the mesh editor and then click the build settings tab, under that you will see Build Scale. This is where you can change the default scale of the meshs.

Also what weapon pack did you purchase and are you using a custom made character or one off the marketplace?

Unfortunately that doesn’t work when I tried it on static meshes when applied it messed up the LODS and the object disappeared when I move away.

The items I bought from the store include a few skeletal meshes with animations, I was trying to get it to work on skeletal meshes and the option for build scale is unavailable for skeletal meshes, and even if it was available I assume it would mess up the animation.

So is there anyway to change the scale or not, if not can I get my money back?
