[4.8.1] iOS Pinch only detecting once on iPhone

To reproduce this issue:

  1. Add pinch node (input)
  2. Print node (print anything you like), and connect it to pinch node
  3. Package project for iOS, and manually copy the .ipa to iphone through iTunes library
  4. Run app, pinch screen once (print message will show)
  5. Pinch again, message won’t show anymore, pinch stop working

Hi ,

Thank you for repro steps. Do you mind taking a screenshot of your blueprint setup along with your inputs settings in your project settings so I can attempt to repro as closely as possible?

Thanks!

I used default pinch node, no custom input settings for it.

Same results on Android.

Same issue on 4.8.2, with Android.

Thank you for letting us know that you’re still having trouble with this specific bug in 4.8.2. I have verified that this is an unresolved task that’s set ‘to do’. We’re hoping it will be finished by 4.9 but at this time, we cannot guarantee that. Please feel free to check on this bug in a week or two.

Thank you and have a nice day!

Same here on Android, using UE4.9.

Hey Matme1979,

Please post a new question to AnswerHub explaining issue that you are having. Be sure to include as much detail as possible.

Hi ,

Thank you for your reply, but I don’t see how posting this question into a new Hub would make any difference. If anything, I would be re-directed back to this link.

You said yourself : " We’re hoping it will be finished by 4.9 but at this time, we cannot guarantee that. Please feel free to check on this bug in a week or two."

I’ve been checking, but no luck - it still doesn’t work.

Thanks again for your reply, and I hope it will be fixed soon.

Hi Matme1979,

This post is specifically for an iOS issue. You were asked to create a new post because relevant details are probably different enough to warrant it. bug entered does not apply to Android devices, which is what you are reporting on.
