How can I get my character to walk between a narrow space?

I guess the title explains the issue I’m having fairly well. I have this scene below where in real life a person would be able to walk in between the couch and the table but obviously in UE4 I can’t. The collisions are spot on so its not that. I am using the default 1st person template so what settings do I need to change to be able to make the character walk in narrow areas? As a newbie I’m guessing the answer is an obvious one but I’m having trouble finding someone else that has had this same problem and posted the same question. Which of course there must have been.

Hi.

You can change collision of your static mesh.

Here is video with micro tutorial for this: How to change collision of the static mesh in Unreal Engine 4.8 - YouTube

im completely new to ue4 so please only use my advice with pinch of salt and common sense in heap full amounts.

Maybe the furniture is correct and its the 1st charactors collision that is to big .

hope it helps
Please remember i am just using perspective thinking i do not know answer.

if you was to click on a furniture items mesh and turn the collision to i think its called dynamic simple mesh or something like that it makes a collision box that fits the actual shape of the 3d model item so im thinking could it be the answer is to do the same style thing but with the 1st person charactor , it has a sort of capsule shape if you turn that to dynamic collision thingy then it might be smaller more fittig of the shape and be able to pass through smaller area’s

I dont know sorry , figured try and answer a few other peoples questions and maybe someone can answer my 1st ever question :0)
