I open a widget blueprint and go to the designer tab. I make a horizontal box and put two vertical boxes inside of it. The box shows but is very thin. I try to expand it but I simply can’t. I believe I’m on the default settings of the box.

In order to create your UMG widget blueprint the way that you want to, you’re going to first need to lay out these boxes in a smaller size and then re-size them to overlap one another. I noticed that when I placed the vertical box over the horizontal box, that I had already made a specific size caused the vertical box to not appear at a size that could be re-sized, as it seems to hug one of the sides of the horizontal box.
