I had to remove the following line from Config/DefaultEngine.ini to get it cook again

Hi Robert42,

  1. For what platform are you packaging your project?
  2. Are you using source or binary version of the editor?
  3. How are you packaging? For example, through the editor, from the unreal frontend? Are you using any special command line setups for packaging?
  4. Can you provide build output logs of your failed build, attached to this thread as a txt file?

Thanks!

  1. Windows 64 bit
  2. Binary version downloaded using the Epic Launcher (version 4.8.1)
  3. Directly from the Editor: File → Cook For Windows
  4. I have attached a minimum example and the content from the OutputLog

Just open the attached project in the Unreal Editor and click on File → Cook For Windows

Hi Robert42,

Can you check your default server game mode is not set to ‘none’, as in this other thread? They were also seeing the same ‘None’ is not a standard unreal filename or a long path name error as in your logs.

Thanks!
