Copying Unreal Engine 4

So my friend just downloaded UE4,and he sent it to me on a flash drive,so it’s on my external hard disk now,I copied the whole epic games folder and put it in my C,after opening the Epic Games Launcher,it says that Unreal Engine 4.8.1 is not installed,does anyone know a solution for this problem?

Hi!

If you do not have the possibility to download UE4 using Epic Games Launcher, but you can copy from flash, then all you need is a create shortcut for this file:

YOUR_DISK:\YOUR_PATH\Engine\Binaries\Win64\UE4Editor.exe

And now you can open the Editor with this shortcut.

FYI if u just gonna copy n run it… u need also google download/install " Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2013 " or “Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015”
