Hey LilSumac,

Check the checkbox in your texture settings labeled sRGB. This is a Gamma Correction option within the color picker as well, and should solve your issue.

Yes, the sRGB within the texture itself. Is this what you checked?

Be sure to assign it to the correct ‘Texture Group’ so it can inherit the settings for that texture group.

Unless you are using an Alpha Channel individually as a mask, then you will want to keep the sRGB checked. I am a bit confused however because you said upon import it was too bright initially, then you unchecked the sRGB and you got the color you wanted. Then you extracted the sprite and your color went back to the brightened version?

There seems to be an inconsistency here somewhere. Would you mind sharing with me your texture image file so I can test it on my end?
