U4 packaged game for Windows 64 bit Shipping runs reall slow

Hi guys,

I read the blogs.
Someone mentioned you can still use Forntend to bake the game.
Is that true?
UDK game level I built runs fine on my Windows 7 64 bit laptop.
But Unreal 4 editor must be at auto / lowest settings.
Also the packaged for shipping game if I launch it by itself (with U4 not running) its
very slow and the mouse movements sluggish.
Motion blur seems overkill too.
Thank you.

Dxdiag/computer specs

Please see below

Does this sluggishness occur in a clean, blank project with no additional content?

Yes. I just dragged a couch or something into the blank start up FPS blueprint. Didn’t build anything.
Didn’t cook anything. Just Packed it out for Windows 64 bit Distribution.

What is the size of your project?

Just the blank starter FPS blueprint project with maybe 1 or 2 object in it.

How much data is being rendered at once?

Not sure but just what comes in the template.

Are you using level streaming?

No.

What specific steps are you taking before you notice the sluggishness?

I just double click on the .exe and the screen pops up. When I start turning the mouse around there is huge lag.
Also I cant kill the game with esc key. I have to crash it in the Winows task manager.

What are your scalability settings set to?

Whatever it is in the FPS start up blueprint / template.

Hi guys,

I zipped the entire packaged game test and loaded it up on my ftp server.

I will post my machine’s specs in a moment.
Note this was just a test.
I just packaged a FPS blueprint with some objects in it.
Nothing fancy.
Thank you.
