Memory leak when using blueprint editor in UE 4.8.2

Hi, I have noticed that after oppening the blueprint editor and start placing nodes the memory unreal editor allocates keeps increasing until it fills my RAM and I need to kill the process.

I had this problem in 4.7 but it is persisting now that I have updated to 4.8.2. Is this a known bug?

So far the problem only presents itself in the computer at work. Also the more blueprints I open the faster the memory fills itself.

I have also experienced this, my machine becomes extremely slow after a while working with blueprints and it forces me to close unreal editor and reboot my pc.

Hey all,

This is still an ongoing issue we are trying to track down. Strauzen, the info you provided in your last AH post is all that we can get from you for now. I’m opening a discussion with engineers to see if there is a way we can debug with a user remotely, but I can’t promise anything.

Hi,

I just wanted to inform that as of 4.9.1 the memory leak seems to be gone. Good job!

Updated to 4.9.2 and for me Unreal Engine keeps increasing RAM on a pretty steady rate. I am using windows 10 and I know that some people say that it’s not compatible and what have you but this issue came with the latest 4.9.x update.

Hi gbsr,

Memory Leaks can be caused by a variety of things. Could you open a new AnswerHub thread in bug reports?
