My Upper levels are glowing cause lightmass, but why?

I don’t know why, but my Lightmass Importance Volume is making everything, from a certain high, start to glow.
Can someone explain it?

Hey Dhiego,

It looks like you have several volumes inside of your project. If you would step me through your process of how you created the image you posted.

Also, in these steps if you would include any settings you may have changed in World Settings/Project settings and lastly within the volumes themselves.

Thanks,

Hey Dhiego,

I haven’t heard from you in a few days. I was checking to see if you were still experiencing this problem or if you had resolved this issue.

Thanks,

Hi ! I followed what you said and the problem still there.
But I finally found it!

how I replicated the model of 1 floor the top was ending like this:

So I decided to create a box and, with the same texture, and close it like this:

Cause of this box, it was getting the light from my direct light and filling all my floor with light like a lamp (still don’t know why it happens, but at least is solved).

Thank you very much, Dhiego.

Hey Dhiego,

I’m not sure why exactly you were experiencing this either. Typically the more solid your geometry is the better. For example, in a building, creating the building with a cube and creating the proper geometry for windows and doors will help eliminate gaps and such. This will help keep out any unwanted light and shadows.

Glad it all worked out,

Yeah, you were right, I made the same but with bolder block and no problems this time.

Well, at least now I have a solution if I want a hole level glowing :stuck_out_tongue:

Also Dhiego,

If you have a fairly intense light shining onto a surface and you have the show bloom option on you will get results similar to this. This can be fixed by just turning this option off in the view port under Show > Post Processing > Bloom.
